Project Objective: Design a new cover for an existing comic, in a limited time frame (spend no more than 12 hrs). When designing your cover, the comic should still be recognizable even if you deviate from its original style. Apply any skills you've learned this far in Digital Coloring.
I chose Snotgirl for this project. I knew I would be able to design a recognizable cover with the main character, Lottie. With this cover I wanted to play into her influencer persona by highlighting her style. I did this by breaking up the cover with multiple browser tabs. This made for an interesting composition, playing with positive/negative space. Once I had my outline I applied simple gradient fills. I didn't want the viewer to be overwhelmed by heavy rendering, so they could focus on the main subject matter.
